为遏止十字路口的交通违规情况，卑诗省计划在全省35个十字路口安装了自动测速摄录机，并且，其中有5部摄录机已于7月29日启用，其余的30台会在稍后时间，分阶段安装，预计明年春天可以完成。
已启用的5部摄录机分别位于温哥华市GranvilleStreet at West King Edward Avenue和Kingsway at Victoria Drive、本拿比的Kingsway at Boundary Road、素里市152nd Street atKing George Boulevard，和匹特草原的Lougheed Highway at Old DewdneyTrunk Road。

无论红绿灯是在哪种状态下，如果司机以超出限速的速度，通过这些十字路口，都会收到罚单。
也就是说，即使你面对的是可以通行的绿灯，但你在通过十字路口时是属于超速状态，依然会被开罚单。
看到这里，小编心跳顿时先超了速。
以往我们经过十字路口，如果碰到绿灯刚转入黄灯时，会下意识的加速通过，以避开红灯，但从今以后，这个下意识的动作，很有可能给我们带来一张超速驾驶的罚单。
调查发现，在2012年至2016年期间，卑诗省的十字口安全摄像机（Intersection Safety Camera，ISC）计划发现每年逾1万辆车在通过十字路口时，速度至少比限速还多出30公里/小时。
省府在今年5月宣布，增设35个新的自动测速摄录机。省公安厅长范和富（Mike Farnworth）表示，本省平均每天有900次车祸，其中有60%发生在十字路口。在十字路口这些高危路段增设测速设备，可以威慑超速驾驶的司机，帮助他们改正自身的行为。
以往十字路口的摄像头只针对闯红灯，且一天仅有6小时运作，去年8月起，经技术提升后，省府已将全省140个十字路口交通黑点的冲红灯摄录机，改为全天候24小时运作。
