每年的1月前后，中国人开始准备迎接农历新年。在松花江畔的哈尔滨，除了准备新年之外，另一个节日大事，正在紧张的酝酿筹备之中。

Every January the Chinese people start preparing for the lunar New Year. However, On the coast of Songhua River, the Harbin people are preparing for another big event besides the lunar New Year.

哈尔滨素有中国“冰城”之称，冬季最低温度可以达到零下38度。每年的1月5日，哈尔滨国际冰雪节都将吸引来自全世界的冰雪爱好者来到这里，共同感受这个冰雪王国的奇幻魅力。

Harbin is known as the “Ice City” of China where can reach minus 38 degree in winter. Every year, the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival falls on January 5th which will attract worldwide ice and snow lovers gathering together to enjoy the magical charms of this Snow Kingdom.

白天，这里俨然就是一座透明的水晶之城，安静，圣洁，不沾风尘。每当夜幕降临，华丽转身，摇身一变，成为一座流光溢彩的时尚之都。一会儿像高贵冷艳的白玫瑰，一会儿像妖艳热情的红玫瑰......

In the day time it’s like a transparent crystal city which is quiet and holy without any dust. When the night falls, it will turn to a modern capital with lights and colors sometimes like a noble white rose and sometimes a sexy red rose......

哈尔滨国际冰雪节，如今已发展成为世界上最大规模的冰雪节。冰雪城中各个场馆、景致的搭建，十分不易，天气、运输、人力等都是影响搭建的重要因素。

The Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival has developed into the largest scale one in the world. It’s not an easy thing to set up the stadiums or scenes and make compromise with the whether, transportation and laborers.

看着这些城堡从一个个冰块垒叠成楼，就像是经历了一个孩子的成长一般。所有的建筑工人，都在发自内心的想把这件事做好。对他们来说，这早已不是一份工作，而是一种艺术，一种精神，他们想把这个作品作为冬天的礼物，献给来自世界各地的游客。

Looking the castles changing from bricks into buildings is like looking a child growing into an adult. All the workers desire to do it well, and for them, this is not only a job, but an art, a spirit. They want to present this work to the winter and the tourists from all over the world.

冰雪城占地有150个足球场大小，规模之大，场景之美，实在叫人惊叹！融合了东西方不同的建筑派别，不同的文化主题，成为一扇世界文化交融之窗，在这座冰雪之都上熠熠生辉。

The snow city covers an area of 150 football pitches that is extremely amazing that combines different styles of eastern and western architectures and cultural themes, which has become a cultural window of the world sparkling on the ice and snow city .
